The Sun Shines on Chevrolet

U.K. newspaper is full of praise for Chevrolet's success and new models in Europe. The Sun, whose circulation on a Friday (Motors Day) is a whopping 3.4 million, had some great coverage on Chevrolet last week. The U.K. newspaper was not only very complimentary about Chevrolet's success in Europe, calling it "the only U.S. carmaker to have truly conquered Europe" but also of our new cars: "A flood of striking new models – with this strength of product, Chevy metal is going to rock buyers!"

The Sun article featured first-drive reports on the Captiva and the Orlando. Following are a few of the positive statements made about the two new models:

"The new Chevrolet Captiva could have been designed by George Foreman. It now has a huge grille, yet it's lean and mean."
"Always a decent looker and great value for money, now it's arguably the best looking SUV on the road."
"The quality of the fixtures and fittings is remarkable, the materials feel soft and the buttons sturdy."
"Just like Foreman in his pomp, the Captiva is ready to KO some big rivals."

"Chevy seem to have grasped what family buyers are looking for in a people carrier – practicality without being bland."
"Undoubtedly the biggest revelation is how well the Orlando handles."
"Even the Orlando's price grabs your attention … Those prices undercut the majority of the opposition, which is why this Orlando is already a box office smash. A bit like that other Orlando fella!"
